Filter Maintenance
WARNSNG; To avoid injury from acci­
dental starting, unplug power cord
before changing or cleaning filter.
Cleaning

Removal
To remove tire liiter foi cfearting or
repiacement, remove filler not iiom the
screw on the Tiffer cage remove filter
plate and iifl off filler.
IMPORTANT: To avoid damage to She
blower wheel and motor, always reirtsiali
the filter before using the vac for dry
material pick-up.

Dry Filter
1. Some removal of dry debris can be
accomplished without removing the fil­
ter from the vac by slapping your hand
on top of (he lid while the vac is turned
oh
2 For best results of cleaning due to
accumulated dust, clean the filter In an
open area. Cleaning SHOULD be done
outdoors and no* in the living quarters.
3 Aftei filter removal from vac, remove
the dry debris by gently tapping the fil­
ter against the inside wall of your dust
drum and the debris will loosen and
tair
4. For thorough cleaning of dry filter with fine
dust (no debris) you may run water
through it as described under "Wet .Rtter''
Wet Filter
After filter is removed, a wet filter should
be Cleaned by running water through it
from a hose or .spigot. Take care that
water pressure from the hose is not
strong enough to d,amage filter.
IMPORTANT: After cleaning, check the
filter tor tears or smati holes Do not use a
filter with holes or tears in it. Even a small
hole can cause a iot of dust to come out
of your vac. Replace it immediately.

Refer to page 5, "Filter Assembly”.
Aliow the filter tc dry before re-installing
and storing the vac.
Wet/Dry ¥ac Maintenance
To keep your WeVDry Vac looking its
oest, dean the outside with a cloth damp-
tïnsd with warm water and mild soaf>.
To dean the drum:
1 Dump debris cut.
2 Wash drum thoroughly.
3. Wipe out W i t h dry doth

arid RELIABILITY, repairs and adjust­
ment should be performed by Sears
Service Centers, aiways using Sears
replacement parts.
NOTE; If your casters are norsy, you may
put a drop of oil on the roller shaft to
make them quieter.
