Kickback is the uncontrolied propelling of
the workpiece back toward the user during
ripping.

Wrong Way Feed Hazard
Wrong way feed is ripping by feeding the
workpiece Into the outfeed side of the blade.
The rotational force of the blade can grab
and pull the workpiece.
Before you can let go or pull back, the force
could pull your hand along with the work
piece into the blade. Fingers or hand could
be cut off.
The propelled workpiece could hit a by
stander, causing severe impact injury or
death.
