Error messages
If there is a malfimetion, the display shows a
message. You ean eheek the eondition of the
reeeiver by the message. Refer to the following
table to solve the problem.
DEC. EROR
Appears when the signal whieh the reeeiver eannot
deeode (ex. DTS-CD) is input when “DEC. XXXX”
is set to “DEC. PCM”. Set to “DEC. AUTO”.
PROTECT
Irregular eurrent is output from the speakers. The
reeeiver will automatieally turn off a^er a few
seeonds. Cheek the speaker eonneetion and turn on
the power again. If this problem persists, eonsult
your nearest Sony dealer.

problem using the

Clearing the reeeiver’s memory may remedy the
problem (page 15). However, note that all
memorized settings will be reset to their faetory
settings and you will have to readjust all settings
on the reeeiver.
