Loss
of
Airspeed
If
the
Gemini
loses
airspeed,
or
is
not
connected
to
a
Pitot
system
the
airspeed
tape
will
become
a
ground
speed
tape.
This
will
only
occur
if
the
ground
speed
is
greater
than
V
s0
(Bottom
of
the
white
arc).
The
background
color
of
the
tape
will
change
to
yellow
to
indicate
that
it
is
not
displaying
airspeed,
but
is
in
backup
mode
displaying
ground
speed.
(note:
Even
if
not
connecting
to
the
Pitot
/
Static
system,
both
ports
MUST
be
open
to
the
cockpit.)
