NOTES:

• This is the exact mounting depth of the driver, and does not include provisions
for air flow from the vented pole piece. Clarion recommends at least 1” of clearance
behind the driver to facilitate air flow and proper cooling.

3. Subwoofer Break-In Period

All new speakers require some amount of time to break in. Depending on the applica-
tion, this may take between one and four weeks. To accelerate this process, you can
manually ‘break in’ your subwoofer before installing it. With the subwoofer sitting on
a scratch-resistant surface, connect it to an amplifier and play a 5Hz sine wave at a
level of 10V (8V for SFW) for a period of four to six hours. If you have any questions or
