OPERATION OF SAFETY FOR SELECT FIRE VERSIONS
The SIG556 ® Select Fire has a manual safety which is located on the left and right side of the trigger casing, just forward
of the pistol grip and above the trigger. The safety levers may be operated from either side.
The safety is “on”
when the safety lever is in the “S” (SAFE) position and the trigger guard is closed. In
this position, the rifle cannot be fired with a normal pull of the trigger.
