hannel Auto Memo (or
First Time Setup) takes

care of some basic TV settings

for you. Follow the steps in this

section:
• to set the language of the

TV’s menu

• to add channels into the

TV’s memory

to set the TV for Antenna or

Cable TV signal connect-
tions.

These instructions apply only
when you turn on the TV for the

first time. After the TV has been

turned on for the first time, or if

you want to set up the TV chan­

nels and language later, refer to

the information on page 5.

Press the POWER

button to turn the TV ON.

Be sure to connect the TV
power cord to a standard AC
outlet.
The language selection menu

appears on the TV screen.

1. Slide off the battery com­

partment lid on the
remote control.

2. Insert two AA batteries

(supplied) into the bat­
tery compartment

ment. Batteries installed
incorrectly may damage
the remote control.

3. Replace the lid.

Point the remote con­

trol toward the remote sen­
sor on the TV when operat­
ing the TV with the remote.

POWER Button
Press to turn the TV ON and OFF.

Number Buttons
Press two number buttons to select TV
channels. For example, to select channel
6, press 0,6.
When you select cable channels which
are equal or greater than the number 100,
press the +100 button, then press the last
two digits of the channel you want. For

example, to select channel 117, press the
+100 button, 1,7.

Press to scan through programmed ehan
nel numbers.
Press to select an item in the on-screen
menu.

MENU Button
Press to access the on-screen menu

SLEEP Button
Press to set the TV to turn itself OFF
automatically.

ALT. CH tAlternate ChanneD Button
Press to return to the TV channel you
were viewing immediately before switch­
ing to your current channel.

VOLtumei +/- Buttons
Press to adjust the TV sound level. Press
to adjust the setting of an item in the on­

screen menu (BRIGHTNESS, for exam­
ple).

MUTE Button
Press to cancel the sound at the TV.

Press to display the channel number on
the screen or to remove the channel num­
ber from the screen. Press to remove the
