Tab. 2: “Heating profile” parameter selection
Standard drying
Standard drying is the most-used heating profile. This heating profile is
suitable for the majority of substances.
Drying temperature tmP adjustable from 40°C-160°C.
Quick drying
This heating profile is usable for samples with a moisture content of approx.
5% - 15%. The temperature will exceed the set drying temperature by 30%
within 180 s. After that the temperature will be adjusted down to the set
value.
Drying temperature tmP adjustable from 40°C-160°C.
Gentle drying
This heating profile is suitable for substances which do not tolerate quick
heating by the spotlights. There are also substances which develop a skin
during quick heating. This skin will then affect the evaporation of the trapped
moisture. For such substances, the soft mode of warming is equally suitable.
The adjustable parameters include the heating time t1 in which the drying
temperature tmP is reached.
