7. CASSETTE DECK

CASSETTE RECORDING

• Press

STOP/EJIECT)

to open the cassette

holder.

• Insert the cassette.
• When monitoring during re­

cording, adjust the sound
using the controls

VOLUME

and

TONE.

These controls

do not affect the recording.

• To start recording, press

RECORD

and

PLAY

at the same time.

- When the end of the tape is reached, the

recorder buttons are released.

• To interrupt recording press

PAUSE.

• To continue recording, press

PAUSE

again.

• Press

STOP

if you want to stop recording

before the end of the tape. On pressing

again, the cassette holder will open.

• The set is switched off if the MODE

selector is in position TAPE and no buttons

are pressed.

Recording from the CD-player

• Set the

FUNCTION

selector to CD.

It's not necessary to start the CD-player se­

parately: by pressing

REC(ORD)

the CD-

player starts automatically:

- if the CD-player is in position STOP,

recording will start from the beginning of the
CD (or from the beginning of the program­
med selection):

- if the CD-player is in the PLAY mode or/at a

certain track location (r«/Vw), recording will
start from the beginning of that track.

Recording from the radio

• Set the

FUNCTION

selector to RADIO.

• Select the wave band using the

BAND

switch.

• Tune to desired radio station using the

TUNING

control knob.

• In case of FM radio recordings, set the

MONO/STEREO

switch to the desired

position,

(not all versions).

If during the recording of a MW station, a

whistling sound is heard, this sound can be

suppressed by setting the BEAT CANCEL
switch to another position.

Mono recording from the built-in

microphone

• Set the FUNCTION selector to TAPE
• Set the VOLUME control to the minimum

volume level (during microphone recording,

monitoring is not possible).

Starting and stopping the recording

• Start recording by pressing RECORD.
• For brief interruptions, press PAUSE.

To restart recording, press this button once

more.

• To stop recording, press STOP. On pressing

again, the cassette holder will open.
