Ecu Installation:

To install your new Platinum R35 GT-R ECU into your Nissan R35 GT-R please follow
the procedures below.

*Please note the following installation photos are based on a Nissan R35 GT-R
Australian Delivered Model

You will require the following tools

Screwdrivers: Phillips No 2 and a Small Flat

Socket set with 10mm Socket

Cable ties / 3M Velcro tape

Turn the vehicle off and locate your factory ECU. This will be located on the
passenger side of the vehicle behind the glove compartment.

Remove the cover under the glove box. This is achieved by gently pulling down on it.
The cover is only secured by clips so do not use excessive force. Once the cover
unclips, pull it towards the seat to release the cover from the back mounting points.

Once the units are secure re-assemble the vehicle.
Start by refitting the glove compartment inner cover. Feed the USB cable though the
cover if you want the USB cable to reside in the glove compartment, alternatively the
cable can be bundled and left in the kick panel.
Re-fit the glove compartment, remembering to reconnect the slow release mechanism.
Re-fit the Kick panel and side skirt.
Re-fit the bottom cover.

9.

Turn on the vehicles ignition, and go online with the ECU using the supplied
ECU Manager Software.

10. Upload the latest base map to suit your application.

11. In the Main Setup page, make any adjustments in settings. This is required if your

engine has been modified. eg. larger injectors. The base maps have been setup to
suit standard engine configurations.

12. Calibrate the TPS ( Throttle Position Sensor ) and APP ( Accelerator Pedal Position )

in the TPS Tab.

13. Check all sensors are reading reasonable values.

14. At this point the car can be started. With the Haltech ECU installed one press of the

start button with the foot brake applied will turn the car on, a second press of the start
button with the foot brake applied will start the car.

15. Once the car is running please check the ECU is showing the correct RPM.

If RPM is correct the car is ready to be tuned. If the RPM is incorrect or not
reading at all, please consult the Help Manual.
