AERIALS
FM and SW reception with the telescope aerial
For FM reception, pull out the aerial and rotate
it to a favourable reception position.
The telescope aerial should be vertical for SW
reception.
MW and LW reception with the built-in ferrite-
rod aerial.
Adjust the unit to optimum reception by turning
around the vertical axis.
VOLTAGE SUPPLY
1. Via 2 miniature cells 1.5 V (lEC R6/UM3/AA).
• Insert the batteries in the given polarity.
• Immediately remove used batteries.
(Danger of leakage)
2. Via a commercial power pack with coaxial plug
5.5 mm 0 (output voltage 3 V =; network
voltage 220 - 230 V 50/60 Hz).
The inserted batteries are automatically
switched off at connection.
1. All redundant packaging material has been

packaging easy to separate into three mono

- cardboard (box)
- expandable polystyrene (buffer)
- polyethylene (bags, protective foam sheet)

cycled and reused if disassembled by a special
ized company. Please inquire about local regula
tions on how to hand in your old set for
recycling.

MAINTENANCE
Clean housing only with soft, dust-catching
rags.
Don't use harsh polishing or cleansing
materials.
Protect the unit from all moisture (e.g. dropped
and sprayed water).

RADIO RECEPTION
• Set the POWER switch to ON.
• Select the waveband using the BAND selector.
• Tune to a station using the TUNING knob.
- The tuning indicator lights up for good
reception and optimum tuning. The indicator
doesn't light up if the reception is bad or if the
batteries are weak.
• Adjust the volume with the VOLUME control.
• Switch off the built-in loudspeakers if you wish
to connect the headphones.
• The set is switched off when POWER is in
position OFF.
