INSTALLATION
Unpack all parts and remove protective
material.
Do not connect the unit to the mains
before checking the mains voltage and
before all other connections have been
made.
Do not cover any vents and make sure
that there is a space of several centime
tres around the unit for ventilation.
SUPPLY
•
Check that the mains voltage as shown
on the type plate corresponds to your lo
cal mains supply. If it does not, consult
your dealer or service organisation.
•
Insert
the
mains
plug
into
the wall
socket. The mains supply is now con
nected.
•
To disconnect the set from the mains,
withdraw the mains plug from the wall
socket.
CONNECTIONS (Fig. 2)
A)
Connect the CD LINE OUT sockets (Ji)
of the CD player to the CD/LINE IN
sockets of your amplifier or receiver.
B)
Power cord. Do
not
connect the unit to
the
power
without
having
checked
whether the voltage given on the type
plate corresponds with the local AC outlet
voltage.
Important notes for users in the U.K.:
Mains Plug
This apparatus is fitted with an approved
moulded 13 Amp plug
To change a fuse in this type of plug proceed
as follows
• Removefusecoverandfuse

• Refitthefusecover
If thefittedplug IS notsuitableforyour socket
outlets. It shouldbe cut off and an appropriate
plug fitted in its place

the mams plug contains a fuse, this should
have a value of 5 A If a plug without a fuse is
used.thefuseatlhedistributionboardshojld
not be greater than 5 A.

The severed plug must be destroyed to avo.d a
possible shock hazard should it be inserted
intoa 13 Asocket elsewhere
Howtoconnectaplug
The wres in the mams lead are coloured with
the following code blue = neutral (N), bro.vn
= live (U
As these colours may not correspond with the
colour markings identifying the terminals in
your pi jg, proceed as follows
• Connect theblue wire to theterminal marked
N or coloured black
• Connect the brown wire to the terminal
marked L or coloured red
• Do not connect either wire to the earth
teriTiinal in the plug, marked £ (or 4-1 or
coloured green (or green and yellow)
Before replacing the plug cover, make certain
thatthecordgripisclampedoverthesheathof
the lead - not simply over the two wires
