RECORDING FROM YOUR COMPACT DISC
PLAYER

(EDIT)

In the EDIT mode you oan store the recording time of

the tape in the player memory. TTiis will then

determine which tracks fit on one side of the tape and
a pause will automatically be inserted after the last

track.

• Press EDIT.

- EDfT lights, TIME starts flashing and 90 lights up.

• With NEXT and PREVIOUS you can now select the

required recording: 46, 60 or 90 minutes.

You can also key in the time using the ’1-0' digit

keys.

• Press S(tore).

- The recording time has now been stored; you can

now record the entire CD or a programme from of
it.

• Press PLAY/REPLAY.

- The track number indicator shows which tracks fit

onto side A of the tape; these numbers will be
played one after the other.

- After the last track play will stop.

The track number indicator now indicates the

tracks for side B.

• Turn the tape over.

• Press PAUSE.

- The remaining tracks will now be played.

NOTE!

- You can also start playback with RANDOM; the

numbers will then be recorded in a random order.

- As soon as you press PLAY/REPLAY or RANDOM,

the other player functions (except TIME and

REVIEW) will temporarily be switched off to prevent

the reoording being interfered with.

- Should the CD or the programme be

longer Vr\an

the

total

recording time of the tape, a pause will

again be inserted after the last track on side B. The
track number indicator then shows the remaining,

unplayed tracks.

- Should the CD or the programme be shorter than

the

total

recording time, the CD compartment will

open after the last track has been recorded on
side B so that you can insert a different CD and
record some other tracks on the rest of side B.

SETTING THE PLAY MODE

(PRESETS)_______________

Depending on the play mode you select after you

have switched on the player, play will automatical­

ly begin with;

- the whole CD (PLAY);
- the tracks of the CD in a random order (PLAY-

RANDCM).

- the FTS 1 programme (PLAY-FTS MEMCRY 1);
- the FTS 2 programme (AUTC-FTS MEMCRY 2);
- the tracks in the FTS 1- or FTS 2 programme in a

random order (PLAY RANDCM FTS MEMCRY 1 or

If you select STCP, then you must start play yourself

with PLAY/REPLAY, RANDCM or SCAN.

• Press PRESET.

- STOP lightts up.

Press » or

appears on the display.

• Press S(tore).

- The play mode has now been set.

LISTENING WITH HEADPHONES

(PHCNES)

• Connect headphones with a 6.3 mm jack plug to

the PHCNES socket.

• The sound level is adjusted with the VCL(ume)

control.
