Adjusting the dynamic range
This function allows you to adjust the dynamic
range, the ratio of the loudest sounds to the
quietest sounds.
• The factory default setting is “OFF”.
1. Following the steps 1 to 3 in “Selecting the
monitor menu”, select “DRC” from “AUDIO
SETUP”.
2. Press “
” button to go to the right pane.
3. Press “
” or “
” buttons to select the
setting. You can select the dynamic range
from “ON” or “OFF”.
4. Press the [ENT] button.
Setting the Dolby Pro Logic Decode
processing
You can set whether or not 2-channel source is
processed using Dolby Pro Logic Decode.
• The factory default setting is “ON”.
1. Following the steps 1 to 3 in “Selecting the
monitor menu”, select “Dolby PL” from
“AUDIO SETUP”.
2. Press “
” button to go to the right pane.
3. Press “
” or “
” buttons to select “ON” or
“OFF”.
4. Press the [ENT] button.
Setting the down mix
This function allows you to select the method of
down-mixing when the channel format and the
output channel configuration are not in
agreement.
• This function can be operated only when the
speakers other than “FRONT-SP” are set to “OFF”
in “SPEAKER-SEL” (P. 36).
• The factory default setting is
“Lo/Ro”.
1. Following the steps 1 to 3 in “Selecting the
monitor menu”, select “DOWN MIX” from
“AUDIO SETUP”.
2. Press “
” button to go to the right pane.
3. Press “
” or “
” buttons to select “Lo/Ro”
or “Lt/Rt”.
“Lo/Ro”: Down-mixing the discrete 5-channel
master etc. to 2-channel stereo track
“Lt/Rt”: Writing down matrix-encoded sounds
to 2-channel stereo track
4. Press the [ENT] button.
