PREPARING FOR USE
1. Slide off the Battery Compartment cover to install the batteries.
2. You can use the following types of batteries (size "AA").
Description
Rechargeable Nickel Cadmium (1.2 volts)
Alkaline type
(1.5 volts)
Standard type
(1.5 volts)

Alkaline or rechargeable batteries are more desirable.
3. Install the batteries with polarity as shown on the Battery Comparment.
4. If you are using Alkaline or Standard type "AA" batteries, use the two dummy
batteries provided with this unit.
NOTE: Only Nickel Cadmium batteries can be used for recharging purposes,
5. If the battery indicator LED comes on when power is turned on, the batteries need
to be recharged or replaced. As long as the LED stays "off", the batteries are OK,
