Problem Check
Charge light won’t
come on when
Handset is placed in
the cradle.
Make sure that the Base
Unit AC power cord is
plugged both into the
wall outlet, and into the
Base Unit. Make sure
the Ni'Cd battery pack is
plugged into the
Handset.
Make sure the Handset
is properly seated in the
cradle.
Clean the charge
contacts on the Handset
and Base Unit with a
clean dry cloth or pencil
eraser. (Do not use
liquids or solvents.)
Audio sounds weak
and/or scratchy.
Make sure that the Base
Unit antenna is fully
extended.
Move the Handset
and/or Base Unit to
different locations and try
again.
Place the Handset and
Base Unit antennas into
a vertical position.
Can’t make or receive
calls.
Check that the Base
Unit’s telephone line
cord and AC power cord
are both plugged in. If
the power is on, and the
unit does not work, try
disconnecting the AC
adaptor for a few
minutes, and then
reconnecting it.
