Fuel shut-off valve
To prevent the needle valve from un-seating and flooding the engine while being towed, engines designed to go
onto log splitters have a fuel shut-off valve built into the carburetor.
To service the shut-off valve:
1.
Remove the carburetor by following the procedures
described in Chapter 3: Air Intake Systems.
2.
Remove the choke lever pivot screw.
See Figure 4.36.
3.
Lift the choke lever off of the carburetor.
4.
Remove the shut-off valve cover using a #2 phillips
screw driver. See Figure 4.36.
5.
Remove the wave washer. See Figure 4.37.
