TRANSPORT CONTROL BUTTONS
The Transport Controls include S
TOP
, P
LAY
and R
ECORD
. They perform in the traditional manner
of tape recorders:
Stop
Immediately ends recording or playback. Stops some sequential operations, such as File
Transfer and Copy Bank.
Play
Starts playback of the currently selected Cut. Note that pressing P
LAY
initiates playback from
the beginning of the selected Cut, even if it is already playing. The exception is when P
LAY
is
used to disengage P
AUSE
.
Record
Places Instant Replay in Record Ready mode. (Instant Replay will allocate disk space, and
then enter record when the P
LAY
button is pressed.)
FUNCTION BUTTONS
These include:
Bank Select
When you press the B
ANK
S
ELECT
button, it lights and the top row of Hot-Keys flash. The
display changes to show the Number and Name of the current Bank; the number of Hot-Key
Assignments it contains; and an indication of the presence of a Playlist in the Bank. Pressing
Hot-Keys 1-10 will directly select the corresponding Bank.
Alternately, the S
CROLL
A
RROWS
may be used to view the Banks. Pressing E
NTER
will
activate the Bank that is currently shown on the display. Pressing B
ANK
S
ELECT
again or
C
ANCEL
exits this mode. If no keys are pressed for 10 seconds, Bank Select mode will time
out and return to Stop mode.
When an external drive is connected and enabled in the Configuration menu, the I and E keys
are used to select the Internal or External drive. See Using an External Drive on page 24.

Pressing a H

immediately assigns the Cut shown in the top line of the Display to that

. If this Cut is already assigned in this bank, that assignment is cleared.
You can select other Cuts to be assigned using the S

keys or F
IND
. With the
new Cut selected, press the H

-K
EY
you wish to assign it to.
To exit, press A

again, or C
