File Transfer Setup Procedure (First Time Configuration)
•
Select the FILE TRANSFER menu.
•
Use the S CROLL A RROW keys to select the FILE RECEIVER menu item. Press E NTER and
then use the arrows to select ON to enable receiving of files. Press E NTER again to confirm
the selection.
•
If this Instant Replay is going to be used in a network with other units connected to its
output, then you must turn on the Echo function. Use the S CROLL A RROW keys to select the
ECHO DURING RECEIVE menu item. Press E NTER and then use the arrows to select ON to
echo received file data through the digital outputs. Press E NTER again to confirm the
selection.

Use the S CROLL A RROW keys to select the RECEIVER INPUT menu item. Press E NTER and
then use the S CROLL A RROW keys to select either the RCA or the XLR-3 connector. Press
E NTER again to confirm the selection.
•
Use the S CROLL A RROW keys to select the RECEIVER NAME menu item. Press E NTER to
edit the receiver name. The name can be blank to receive all file transfers or can have from
1 to 15 characters consisting of any combination of letters, digits, dashes and spaces.
Leading and trailing spaces are not significant and are removed when the name is saved.
Press E
NTER to confirm the selection.
•
Use the S CROLL A RROW keys to select the TRANSFERS TO ACCEPT menu item. Press
E NTER and then use the arrows to select the appropriate setting:
•
MAIL BOX ONLY - when only Mail Box transfers are to be allowed.
•
ALL - when Mail Box transfers and transfers to specific locations are to be allowed.
•
Press E NTER again to confirm the selection.
•
Press C ANCEL or M ENU to exit from the File Transfer Menu.
The machine is now configured, and is ready to be connected to D-NET.
File Transfer Procedure (SENDER)
•
Select a Cut to be transferred. (This is unnecessary for TRANSFER ALL CUTS)
•
Press M ENU
•
Select the FILE TRANSFER menu. The Display will show:
TRANSFER CUT
PRESS ENTER/CANCEL
•
Press E NTER to proceed
OR
•
Press the S CROLL U P A RROW key to select the TRANSFER ALL CUTS menu item and press
E NTER to proceed.
•
The display will show:
DESTINATION NAME
(NONE SPECIFIED)
OR
DESTINATION NAME
POST RM1
In the above example, POST RM1 is the name entered for a previous transfer operation. The first
transfer after power up always defaults to (NONE SPECIFIED).
When the display indicates (NONE SPECIFIED) only machines that have no receiver name
programmed can receive the transfer.
•
Press the S CROLL U P A RROW key to proceed using the current Receiver Name.
