OFF-TIMER
Pressing the Off-Timer allows the television to be preset to turn off after a
period of time. Each time the button is pressed the timer setting will change.
The settings are 30, 60, 90, 0 and AUTO.
The numbers represent the time, in minutes, before the TV turns off.
Setting the Off-Timer to AUTO will cause the television to turn off (to Stand-by)
five minutes after the television broadcast station you are tuned to stops
transmitting.
Setting the OFF-TIMER to 0 will cancel the timer operation.
PICTURE MENU
The Picture Menu Button allows you to select one of three different picture
modes (Standard, Dynamic, Soft).
Dynamic: Used for viewing in brighter environments (daytime viewing). Higher
levels of contrast and brightness setting are selected.
Standard: Used for normal viewing conditions (evening lighting). The contrast
and brightness setting are set to standard.
Soft:
Used for viewing conditions in a darkened room. The contrast and
brightness levels are reduced.
SOUND MENU
The Sound Menu Button allows you to choose between two different sound
modes (Music, Speech).
Music:
Used where music is more common than speech such as musicals,
video clips etc.
Speech: Used where speech is more common than music such as talk shows,
news broadcasts etc.
SOUND MUTE
Pressing this button reduces the sound from the television to nil. Pressing the
button again returns the sound to the original setting. Pressing either Volume
Up ( + ) or Down (-) will also restore the volume level setting.
T V / A V
Pressing the TV/AV Button will cycle between the TV, AV1, AV2 and back to
TV.
PROGRAMME NUMBER UP
Pressing this button selects the next higher Programme Number in sequence.
Programme Numbers which have been "Skipped" (See page 19) will be
bypassed when this button is used.
