6. An optical lens can be attached to the IR Illuminator to improve illumination range.

7. To power-off the device - Rotate the power switch to the OFF position (fig. 9.1).

STORAGE & MAINTENANCE

Always store and carry the LRB-7 in the case with the lens safely covered with the cap.

Protect the device and optical components from impact, excessive dust and moisture.

Store the device in a cool, dry place away from extreme hot and cold, with batteries

removed. Storage temperature must not exceed 60°C.

Note:

It is not recommended to use the IR Illuminator/lens attachment at a distance

of 30m or less. Using the IR device at such short distances can over illuminate

and flood the objective, causing dark spots to be permanently burned into the

image intensifier tube.

Recommendation:

When the device is stored for a long time it is recommended

that batteries be removed to prevent leakage and corrosion.

Note:

Automatic bright-light cutoff protection will power-off the device after 20-30

seconds of bright-light exposure. (Illumination more than 500 Lux).

Warning:

1. It is important that this device not be pointed at bright light sources: bright lamps,

sun, welding light, etc., as this can damage the image intensifier tube.

2. Do not leave the device ON and unused for more than for 30 minutes.

DO NOT FORGET TO SWITCH OFF the device AFTER USE!!!
