1. Carefully remove the scale, pan, and all of its components out of the packaging. Place them on a stable
surface where the scale will not be affected by any mechanical vibrations or high air movements.
2. After removing all components from the packaging, carefully assemble the unit. First, lift the pan and
then remove cardboard shims which are used to secure the pan support during shipping.
Important: When transporting the scale these shims must be replaced, and the pan support must be
secured prior to shipping.
3. Use the rotational feet to level the scale. An air bubble level is built into the platform for this purpose.
Adjust the feet until the bubble is center in the level indicator. Lock the feet in position with the
locking nuts.
