Model THP214S
APPLICATION
Reliance Controls has used micro-technology to create the compact Entry Alarm. It is mounted on window or door
frames and will detect the opening of a window or door. The alarm will sound for 30 seconds when the Magnetic Unit is
separated from the Alarm Unit.
INSTALLATION AND OPERATION
1. This unit has a moveable sensor depending on which side of the
Alarm Unit will interface with the Magnetic Unit. Test the Alarm to
confirm the senor is on the correct side for your application. If
not, open the Alarm Unit by sliding the Opener Knob on the top of
the unit sideways and opening the back of the unit. See Fig 2.
Move the sensor wires to the other side of the unit. See Fig 3.
Replace the case back and lock the Opener Knob.
2. Attach the Alarm Unit to the door or window frame using the
attached double -sided tape. See Fig 1.
3. Attach the Magnetic Unit to the door or window using the attached
double -sided tape. See Fig 1. Make sure to align the "<" on the
Magnetic Unit to the “>” mark on the Alarm Unit. See Fig 2.
4. To arm the alarm, move the ON/OFF switch located on the bottom
of the unit to the "ON" position. After about 5 seconds the alarm
will chirp indicating the unit is armed. When armed, the alarm will
sound when the Magnetic Unit is separated from the Alarm Unit.
Move the switch to the "OFF" position to silence the alarm. See
Fig 2.
5. To replace the battery, slide the Opener Knob on the top of unit
sideways to unlock the back of the case. See Fig 2. Remove the
back and replace the 3 button cell batteries. See Fig 3. (Battery
type JIS-LR44, Eveready A76 or equivalent). Replace the case
back and lock the Opener Knob.
WARRANTY
Reliance Controls Corporation (“Reliance”) warrants this product to be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal
use for a period of one year from date of purchase, provided the product has been installed and used in accordance with Reliance’s
instructions and has not been subjected to misuse, alteration, modification, accident, or repair not performed by Reliance. Reliance’s
obligation under this warranty is strictly limited to repair or replacement of the product only. The cost of labor to remove the product or
install a replacement is not included in this warranty. Reliance shall not be liable for any incidental, special, or consequential damages
whatsoever, including damage to person or property resulting from the product’s failure to operate in the manner in which it was
designed. Use of this product is at the risk of the owner. Reliance strongly recommends that this product be fully tested after
installation in accordance with these instructions to confirm proper operation. Further, this product should be re-tested on a regular
basis to insure continued operation. In the event that this product does not conform to this warranty within the warranty period, the
product may be returned with dated proof of purchase to Reliance, at the address below, freight prepaid. Upon verification of defect
Reliance shall at its sole discretion either repair or replace the defective product. Batteries are not covered by this or any other
warranty. The forgoing warranty is exclusive and in lieu of all other expressed or implied warranties if any, including but not limited to
implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may
have other rights which vary from state to state.
