Programming HomeLink
NOTE:
It is recommended that a new battery be placed
in the hand-held transmitter of the device being pro-
grammed to HomeLink for quicker training and accurate
transmission of the radio frequency signal.
1. Position the end of your hand-held transmitter 1-3
inches (5-14 cm) away from the lower left corner of the
EVIC display while keeping the display in view.
NOTE:
Some gate operators and garage door openers
may require you to replace the next step with procedures
noted in the
ЉGate Operator/Canadian ProgrammingЉ
section.
2. Simultaneously press and hold both the desired
HomeLink button and the hand-held transmitter button.
After a short time, the message TRAINING will show on
HomeLink display. Do not release the buttons until the
next step has been completed.
3. When the message TRAINED appears on the
HomeLink display, release both the HomeLink and hand-
held transmitter buttons.
NOTE:
If the HomeLink display does not change to
TRAINED, contact HomeLink at www.homelink.com or
call 1-800-355-3515 for assistance.
