The Design Classic Digital Mixer cannot replace all of your kitchen appliances. The mixer

cannot be used for: mashing potatoes, beating the white of eggs, mincing meet, or juicing

fruits. Also it is not possible to use it for stirring very firm batter or dough or for chopping

very hard ingredients such as nuts with shell, bones or alike.
IMPORTANT: Do not leave any food dry on the surfaces of the appliance. Always clean

the appliance right after use (see ›Care and cleaning‹).

Tips for operation

Fill liquid ingredients into the container first unless it is described different in the recipe.

Prepare your food before you fill it into the container. Do not overfill the container.
• Cut vegetables, fruit, cheese, cooked meat or fish in pieces of about 2 cm.
• Remove uneatable and hard parts of the food: stalks, skins and shells, seeds, bones,

gristle, and tendons.

IMPORTANT: Do not overload the motor with food that is oversized or too hard. Turn the

appliance ›OFF‹ as soon as the motor stalls or gets stuck to avoid overheating of the motor

(see ›Troubleshooting‹). Process ingredients a few seconds only. Permanently check on the

consistency of the food in between the operation to avoid getting food which is too fine and

slushy. Pick the speed for your needs: mixing (MIX 1-5) for permanent operation, ice-crush

switch or interval-switch (Pulse).

Speed control

It is possible to process food with all kind of texture using the speed control. The control

panel has therefore different marks. You find some ideas and proposals on how to use the

different speed.

Pulse

Interval operation: ideal for processing nuts (i. e. almonds), boiled meat

or fish.

Ice-Crush

For crushing ice.

PUREE

For onions, thick sauces, etc. It does not get a sauce foamy. For mashing

fruit and vegetable.

WHIP

For cooking recipes and salad dressings. Whipping cream.

MIX

To combine milk powder, juice and gelatine or preparing eggs for ome-

lettes.

GRATE

Used for grinding hard and solid seeds such as beans, cafe, chickpeas,

or grinding sugar to make icing sugar.

BLEND

Highest speed. Ideal for preparing Frappe-ice; throw in the ice cubes one

after the other. Good for mashing harder fruit and vegetable.

The length of mixing time depends on your personal preferences, the consistency of the

ingredients and the recipe.
Interval-function: The Pulse-switch and the Ice-Crush switch are touch sensitive switches which

keep the motor running only for the time you press the switch down. As soon as you release

the switch the motor stops.
