Before first use
After unpacking, remove all promotional and packing materials as well as any foreign
objects. Operate the appliance on a well accessible, stable, level, dry, and suitable
large surface.
warnIng: Do not leave young children play with the appli-
ance or any part of it or the packing material.
Before first use and after a long period of storage, clean the
appliance with a damp soft cloth and warm soapy water (see
›Care and Cleaning‹). Dry all parts thoroughly.
Assembling the appliance
Before each use, ensure grinding bowl is empty and all parts
are clean.

Assembling the grinding bowl look out for the align symbol
on the grinding bowl and the marking on top of the motor
housing (picture A). Underneath the align symbol of the grind-
ing bowl there is one of three guiding pins. On top of the motor
housing you will find the matching cannelure.
Attaching the grinding bowl ensure the guiding pin underneath
the align symbol fits into the cannelure above the marking
(picture A).
Turn the grinding bowl clockwise (direction LOCK) until it is
locked. You will hear a clicking sound when locked in position.
2. Place the lid onto the grinding bowl. Attaching the lid pay
attention to the align symbol of the lid and the marking
on top of the motor housing. There is one of three guiding pins
left sided underneath the align symbol of the lid. You will find
the matching cannelure on top of the motor housing.
Attaching the lid ensure the guiding pin left sided underneath
the align symbol fits into the cannelure above the marking.
Turn the lid clockwise (direction LOCK) until the lid is locked in position. The align sym-
bol will be right above the marking when the lid is locked in position (picture C).
note: The coffee grinder will not operate without the lid and grinding bowl in locked
position.
Directions for use
Always keep the working area dry and clean.
warnIng: Do not pour or drip any liquids on the motor housing or power cord.
When liquids are spilled on the motor housing, immediately unplug the appliance and
dry the motor housing to avoid risk of electric shock or fire. Do not
attempt to operate
