In order to keep the hair clipper in good working order and enjoy good performance and results for a long
time, the blades must be oiled after use, as follows:

1. Push the comb attachment locking button to its unlock position (UNLOCK), then pull

the comb attachment from the device. Next, remove the blade unit by supporting its
knurled side with your thumb, and pushing its edge outwards with your thumb as
shown on the figure.

2. By gently pushing the white plastic element support and moving the internal blade of

the blade unit in the direction of the arrow, you can slightly open the blade profiles.
Add 1-2 drops of oil between profiles. Use only the oil supplied in the oil can or failing
this, an acid-free instrument oil.

Do not use hair oil, machine grease, mixed oil or solvent for blade lubrication. Solvents remove and wash away
the thin oil film from the blades, which will impair their performance and increase wear. When cleaning the
blades, be extremely careful not to damage the blade drive mechanism; our warranty does not cover any damage
caused during cleaning operations.

3. Replace the blade unit into the device. Align the plastic pin on its base with the groove

at the rear side of the blade holder from above, then push and snap the knife unit into
the groove from behind.

Information about lubricating oil:

- Lubricating oil is derived from mineral oil. Only apply it to the marked lubrication points on the blades.
- It is toxic when swallowed.
- Do not allow children access to it.
- Avoid skin contact as it can cause allergic symptoms.
- If it get in your eyes or mouth, you should immediately seek medical advice.

Instructions for cutting hair

Operations to be carried out before starting to cut hair

1. Charge the integrated battery cell, as described in the Chapter “Power supply of device”.

2. Before starting hair clipping, unplug the power cable from both the wall and the device sockets.

3. Check the hair clipper to ensure that the blade teeth are free of excess oil. Switch it on for a short time and

check that it is running smoothly. Wipe off excess oil leaking from between the blades.

4. Seat the person whose hair you are cutting in front of you so that their head is at your eye level. This helps the

operation of the trimmer and gives you a clear view of your work.

5. Ensure the hair you are trimming is dry.

POWER SUPPLY

The appliance must only be connected to mains electricity of 230V and 50Hz. Always ensure
the mains voltage where you’re using the appliance corresponds to the value shown on the
nameplate of the appliance.
When plugging in, plug the power cable first into the device socket and then into the wall socket.

Charging the device battery

The device is battery powered. The battery cell cannot be removed, even for charging purposes. The device
includes an electronic battery charging function. In order to ensure full availability of the battery cell, a
“formatting” operation must be carried out before first using the device:

For a new device, the battery cell is partially pre-charged. First switch on the device to fully discharge the
battery. To do this, push the 3-way switch down to the clipping position (CUT). Keep the device switched on
until its motor stops then return the switch to the central position

Afterwards, immediately plug the power cable first into the device’s socket and secondly into the mains
socket and charge the battery for 20 hours. Whilst charging the pilot light will stay on.

After charging the device, repeat the formatting procedure, ie full discharging and 20 hour recharging cycle,
twice.

After the formatting process, charge for 16-20 hours. It is unnecessary to fully discharge the device during use
or to leave it on charge for longer than 20 hours. Do not charge for longer than 24 hours as this can damage
the device.

During the charging process, the device cannot be used for hair clipping. Before use, unplug the
power cable first from the wall socket, then from the device.

USING OF APPLIANCE

Before use

Unpack the appliance and remove all the packing materials.

Inspect the appliance and the accessories carefully to verify their soundness and undamaged condition. Only
perfectly sound and damage-free appliances may be connected to the electrical mains.

Before using the device for the first time, ensure it has been fully formatted and charged as described in the
Chapter “Power supply of device”.
