Storing the appliance in cold or frosty environment may cause:

- damage to the plastic and rubber components; if they become fragile, this may result in a safety

risk.

- oxidation resulting from condensation, and corrosion of the metal components.

Direct heat (e.g. inadequate distance from radiator or insufficient ventilation) might cause:

- structural damage, distortion or deformation of the plastic components or of the device’s cover.

Following the operating instructions and avoiding any of the conditions listed above will help you
increase the lifespan of the appliance. The manufacturer is not responsible if the appliance is stored
inappropriately or contrary to these instructions. You are recommended to have the appliance
serviced regularly by an authorised engineer to keep it working for as long as possible.

Keep your environment clean! The device cannot be disposed of as household waste as it
can pollute wildlife and severely endanger human health. Please take the product together
with its power cable at the end of its life to your local waste disposal centre with facilities for
environmentally friendly disposal or recycling of electrical products.

You may wish to contact the retailer or the manufacturer if you are unable to find convenient local
recycling facilities as they have some legal responsibilities for recycling electrical products.

Please keep this instruction manual. If you give the appliance to anyone else, you must give them
this instruction manual, too!

Never remove the cover of the appliance.

Appliance users may clean and oil the cutters, but any other repair or maintenance work must only be carried
out by the service engineer of an authorised service workshop.

Never leave the hair clipper unattended during battery charging. If you do leave, unplug the power cable
from the wall socket.

When charging the device make sure the power cable is not restricted and cannot be snagged. Put the device
onto a stable plain surface where it cannot be overturned.

The device can only be charged using the power cable it is packaged with. In order to avoid accidents or
damage to the device, do not use the power cable for any other purpose.

The device cannot be used whilst it is charging. Before use, unplug the power cable first from the wall socket
then from the device.

The manufacturer is not responsible for any damage that results from overuse, incorrect operation, incorrect
maintenance, neglecting the information given in the instruction manual or normal wear and tear. In
addition, the manufacturer is not responsible for damage caused by any parts of the appliance breaking or
cracking.

Dear Customer,

All electrical and mechanical equipment needs to be cared for appropriately. It’s important to
note that using or storing the appliance in certain conditions may adversely affect its lifespan and
functionality. Always protect the appliance from the conditions listed below.

Using or storing the appliance in a wet, humid or damp environment can cause:

- deterioration and premature aging of the cover and electric insulation of the appliance,
- premature wearing and aging of the plastic and rubber components,
- rust and corrosion affecting electrical components and metal parts.

Using or storing the device in a dusty area or in a kitchen (where there are oil and/or cooking fat
vapours), or where cleanliness is poor may result in:

- greasy dust coating of electrical components or device cover resulting in electric contact failures
- greasy dust coating on blades causing rapid wear and degradation of clipping performance.
- damage to plastic components.

The effects of direct sunlight on the appliance can include:

- accelerated deterioration of the appliance casing and its plastic and rubber components,

damage to strength and other structural features. The appliance’s surface may become porous
and fragile, which may result in a safety risk.
