In order to avoid electric shock, never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid. Never touch the
appliance with wet hands. Never allow the wall socket to become wet. You must have dry hands when
you plug the mains connector into the wall socket and when you unplug it. If any moisture gets inside the
appliance, immediately stop using it and take it to a service engineer for checking or repair.
•
Never disconnect the appliance from the mains by pulling on the cable; always hold the plug itself.
•
Do not use the appliance in a bathroom or a shower.
•
The appliance can only be used on dry hair.
•
Before cleaning, switch the device off and disconnect the power cable from both the wall and the device
sockets.
When disconnecting, unplug the power cable first from the wall socket and then from the device
socket. When connecting, plug the power cable first into the device socket and then into the wall
socket.
•
Make sure that the device cannot be overturned or dropped into any container full of water. If the device is
dropped into any liquid (or if humidity has penetrated its cover) whilst charging the battery, do not touch
under any circumstances. Unplug the device first, then take it out of the liquid and allow an authorized
service agent to check or repair it.
•
Do not charge or use the device near explosive or flammable gases, vapours, aerosols or liquids.
•
Never run the power cable past sharp edges or near hot surfaces. Should the power cable become damaged
it must be replaced with a new one sold by an authorized service centre. Never connect the device to a wall
socket with a damaged cable.
•
Never wind the supply cable around the cover of the device for storage as this can damage the cable or its
insulation.
•
Do not lengthen or alter the mains cable of the appliance. If you need a longer cable between the appliance
and the wall socket, you should buy a standard extension cord from an electrical dealer. When using an
extension cord, be careful not to create a hazard that you or someone else could trip over.
•
Don’t put the appliance near hot objects (e.g. oven, hob, heating appliance etc.) or on any hot surface.
Don’t place the appliance anywhere it could slide down, fall or be knocked off accidentally.
•
Please avoid using the appliance in any place where it would be subjected to high temperatures, low
temperatures, physical shocks or vibration. The appliance is designed to be operated and stored in a situation
where temperatures are between +5° and +40° Celsius. Do not use the appliance in a wet or humid
environment.
•
Do not use the appliance with damaged or broken comb attachments or if fixed or moving teeth are broken
or damaged. Broken or damaged comb surfaces and blades can cause injuries.
•
If your appliance is damaged or operates in an abnormal way, immediately stop using it and take it to an
authorised service engineer for checking, repair or adjustment.

The appliance must only be used for cutting hair. Only use the appliance domestically; the appliance is not
designed for commercial or industrial use (for example in a hairdresser’s shop).

Only use the appliance to trim human hair.
•
Never use the appliance outdoors.
Attention! Never leave the appliance connected to the mains when it is unattended.
When the appliance is switched on, do not put it down or leave it unattended because the
vibrating motion can cause it to move. If you stop using the appliance - even for a short period
- you should switch it off and leave it on a stable, flat surface from where it cannot fall or be
reached by children.
•
This device is not supposed to be used by physically or mentally handicapped people, or persons without
experience or knowledge (including children, as well), unless such a person supervises or guides their use of
the device, who is at the same time responsible for their safety. As for children, supervision is recommended
to make sure that they do not play with the device. This device is not supposed to be used by children under
the age of 14, not even with supervision!

Never use an appliance or accessory that the manufacturer did not supply with or propose for use with the
appliance. The use of such appliances might lead to accidents or irregular function.
