USING OF APPLIANCE
Before use
1. Unpack the appliance and remove all the packing materials.
2. Inspect the appliance and the accessories carefully to verify their soundness and undamaged condition.
Only perfectly sound and damage-free appliances may be connected to the electrical mains.
3. Before using for the first time, clean the device and its accessories as described in the chapter
“Maintenance and Cleaning”.
The activation push button needs to be held down continually during operation; if released, the motor
unit stops running.
Use of chopping knife
1. Put the processing bowl on a level, flat surface. Now insert the shaft of the processing bowl into the hole at
the bottom of the attachment.
2. Add all your ingredients to the processing bowl. Take care neither to exceed the maximum permitted amount
for any single food type, nor to exceed the max. level mark at the side of machine. Before adding vegetables
or fruits to the bowl, cut them into cubes of around 2 cm. Remove any fruit stones from the bowl.
3. Put the cover onto the processing bowl with its sealing ring down. Line-up the cover and bowl so that the
clips of the bowl insert into the indents of the cover.
4. Place the motor unit onto the cover of the processing bowl, so as to exactly align the clips of the bowl into the
indents on the bottom of motor unit. If necessary, rotate the attachment to form a perfect contact between
the motor unit and the axle of the chopping knife. If the appliance and the attachment do not stand true,
there isn’t a proper connection between the driving shaft and the chopping knife. In this case, slightly modify
the position of knife by turning it within the processing bowl; now repeat connecting the motor unit to the
attachment.
5. Plug the electricity cable of the appliance into a mains wall socket, then press down the activating button to
switch it on. During operation, press one of your hands down on the processing bowl to hold it in its position
and minimise vibration.
6. The chopper can be operated continuously or intermittently. Remember that if you run it intermittently, the
sum of the short operating periods must not exceed the maximum operating time of 30 seconds.
7. When you have completed your work, switch off the device by releasing the activating button and unplug it
from the wall socket or extension cable. Wait until the chopping knife is at a standstill and only then remove
the motor unit from the processing bowl.
8. Following this, lift off the cover of the processing bowl, carefully remove the chopping knife and pour-out the
contents of the bowl.
