Before unplugging the machine from the wall socket or from an extension cable, switch off the device by
releasing the operating push button.

Never use an appliance or accessory that the manufacturer did not supply with or propose for use with the
appliance. The use of such appliances might lead to accidents or irregular function.

Never lay the mains cable beside or across sharp edges or hot surfaces. Never wrap the mains cable around
the cover of the appliance, do not pull the cable and do not lift the appliance with the mains cable because
the cable can break or the insulation can be damaged. A damaged cable must be replaced by an authorised
service engineer. The appliance must not be used or connected to a wall socket if the cable is damaged.

Don’t put the appliance near hot objects (e.g. oven, hob, heating appliance etc.) or on any hot surface.
Don’t place the appliance anywhere it could slide down, fall or be knocked off accidentally.

Do not touch the appliance with moist hands. Plug the connector of the appliance into the mains with dry
hands only, and check that the casing, power cord and connector of the appliance as well as the mains socket
are dry. Should any moisture get inside the casing of the appliance stop using it immediately and take it to a
specialized service for checking or repair.

Only use the appliance on a stable, level surface. Keep it away from water and make sure it cannot
accidentally slip or fall. If the appliance comes into contact with any kind of moisture or liquid during use,
immediately unplug it from the mains. Do not touch it or attempt to take it out of the liquid until the mains
plug has been removed from the socket. You must not use the appliance again before having it checked and
repaired by a specialist engineer.

Don’t use the appliance in the presence of explosive or inflammable gases, vapours or liquids.

The use of the appliance must be avoided in areas where the temperature is too high or too low or where the
appliance is subject to vibrations. Avoid using the appliance under wet or vaporous conditions. The appliance
can be used within the temperature range of +10°C to +35°C and stored within the range of +5°C to +40°C.

Do not use the processing bowl for food storage. Do not put it into a microwave oven or a refrigerator. The
bowl should only contain food whilst you are using the food chopper.

Warning! The engine unit and the chopping knife are not suitable for a dish-washer. For information about
cleaning, read the Chapter “Maintenance and cleaning”.

Warning! The chopping knife of this device is very sharp. It rotates at a high speed during operation and
can cause severe injuries if not used in accordance with these instructions. Never run the appliance without
having the attachment mounted or without putting any food into the processing bowl. In order to avoid
injuries, put the chopping attachment back into its protecting box after use.

Before plugging the device into a power supply, check that the food processing attachment is correctly
attached to the appliance. Do not connect the device to a mains electricity supply unless the device is
completely assembled. Do not remove the food processing attachment from the device whilst it is being used
and whilst it is connected to the mains electricity. Before removing the attachment, wait until the engine has
fully stopped; when it is at a standstill, switch off and unplug the appliance from the wall socket.
