410 Series Magnetic Mount Beacon - The 410 Series Beacon can be equipped with a cord that plugs into a 12/24 Volt D.C. ciga-
rette lighter; rotate and push with reasonable moderate force which insures the best possible connection.
410 Series Permanent Mount Beacon - The 410 Series beacon is designed to operate on a 12 or 24 Volt D.C. negative ground (earth)
system or alternatively 24 Volt system when specified. Use #14 GA. or larger wires. Connect black lead to vehicle chassis (earth),
or preferably the negative (earth) terminal of the battery. Bring the red lead to the user supplied control switch, and then to the
battery or to the stud on the battery side of the starter solenoid or alternator. Install a fuse or circuit breaker of 10 Amp capacity in
the supply line to protect the vehicle's wiring system against short circuits.
FAILURE TO FOLLOw ABOVE wARNINGS OR INSTALLATION AND USER INSTRUCTIONS
CAN RESULT IN LOSS OF wARRANTY COVERAGE.
Lamps are extremely hot! Allow to cool completely before attempting to remove. Gloves and eye protec-
tion should be worn when handling halogen lamps as they are pressurized and accidental breakage can
result in flying glass.

410 series beacons equipped with cigarette lighter plug power cords are intended for short duration, intermittent operation only! Prolonged
operation requires the beacon to be connected following the directions for the 410 Series Permanant Mount Beacon.
Failure to follow these instructions can result in fire or injury from excessive heat build up.
Operator is responsible for ensuring cigarette adapter fits correctly into cigarette/auxiliary outlet used.
For proper operation, verify cigarette/auxiliary outlet circuit is rated to supply, a minimum of 10 amps.
Follow all vehicle manufacturers recommendations from the owners manual regarding cigarette lighter and auxillary power
outlets.
Certain power accessory plugs may not be compatible to the accessory power outlet or cigarette lighter outlet and could
result in blown vehicle or adapter fuses.
Keep cigarette lighter adapter, and outlet, clean and free of debris.
Do not exceed the current rating for the cigarette lighter power outlet recommended by vehicle manufacturer.
Do not use the cigarette lighter adapter when wet.
Insert cigarette lighter adapter fully into the outlet for proper connection.
Grasp cigarette lighter adapter, NOT cord, to remove from outlet.
Remove cigarette lighter adapter completely from outlet when light is not in use.

Do not oil or grease Rotator Units. Rotator Units are constructed with permanently lubricated bearings which do not need lubrication.
Keep the unit clean by disassembling and cleaning bearing surfaces with mineral spirits (turpentine). Clean lens and base with mild soap
and water, or CODE 3

lens polish using a soft cloth. Use no SOLVENTS on lens.
