3.2 Using the Remote iAlarm Application
When an alarm occurred on the DVR server and when CMS server received an alarm from DVR
server, both alarms will transmit to the Remote iAlarm center.
In Remote iAlarm enter, user can manage live alarm event, searching the alarm event, and navigate
relate parameters of connected DVR servers, CMS servers, and alarm filters.
3.2.1 Adding a DVR/CMS Server
To receive the alarm from DVR/CMS server, user needs to add DVR/CMS server.

- Remote Alarm can have 16 DVR and CMS server in total but only 2 CMS servers are
allowed.
- In order to receive the alarm from CMS server, the database of the CMS server needs to
be setup as MySQL. Please see CMS user ’s manual for more detail.
Follow the below steps to add the DVR and CMS servers.
1. Run the Remote iAlarm application, click double-click on your PC desktop or click Start >
Programs > Remote iAlarm.
2. The Remote iAlarm window will appear.
