Using the Setup Menu

Closed Captions (CC)

Select:

Closed Captions).
Programming Closed Captions
If you select the
Program
option under
Closed Captions,
you can change the
following settings:
Basic
Allows you to select basic closed caption options (EIA-60S).
CC1, CC2,
Display s a printed version of the dialog or
CC3, CC4
sound effects of a program (should be set to
CC1
for most progiaiiis).
Textt, Text2,
Displays network/station information presented
Texts, Text4
using either half of the whole screen (if
available).
Digital CC
Allows you to set digital closed captioning to
Basic
(digital EIA-608)
or
Advanced
(digital (EIA-708).
Advanced
Allows you to select advanced digital (EIA-708) closed caption
options. Select from the available options.
Info Banner
Advanced

Allows you to make additional settings for digital (EIA-708) closed
captions options. Select from
As Broadcast
or you can customize.
If you want to customize the following settings, select an option with
