Tips for Using the Battery Pack
Charging Temperature
You should charge batteries at temperatures from 50 °F to 86 °F (from 10 °C to 30 “C). Lower
temperatures require a longer charging time.
Sony Batteries are Recommended
Use of non-Sony batteries may damage your Handycam camcorder.
Notes on Charging
A Brand-new Battery Pack
A brand-new battery pack is not charged. Before using the battery pack, charge it completely.
Before Recharging a Used Battery Pack
• Make sure to use up the battery before recharging. tape, turn the POWER switch to CAMERA, turn STANDBY up, and leave the camcorder until the battery indicator flashes rapidly. ■ When you use the AC-SIO power adaptor or the BC-SIO portable battery charger, you can use the discharging function. ■ Charging a usable battery pack causes a lowering of battery capacity. Battery capacity can be recovered if you fully discharge and charge the battery pack again. After Long Storage Notes on the Terminals If the terminals (metal parts on the back) are not clean, the battery duration will be shortened.
