• Playing may stop when the Discman gets a
strong shock even %vith the ESP function on.
• You may hear a noise or sound skip when:
— listening to a dirty or scratched CD.
— listening to an audio test CD or,
— the Discman receives continuous shock.
• Sound may drop tor a while if you press ESP
during play.
To lock tho bifttons
You can lock your Oiacman against any
accidental operations.
Slide HOLD in dte direction of the arrow.
The buttons are locked. When you press any
button, "Hof d" appears in dw display.
To unlock, slide HOLD back.
To pratoct your hoarlng (AVLS)
The AVLS (Automatic Volume Limiter
System) fuiKtim keeps down the maximum
volume to protect your ears.
NORM([ C OOP 5 ) LIMIT
AVLS
(AUTO VOLUME UMITER SYSTEM)
Set AVLS to LIMIT.
The AVLS mdication appears.
• If the sound is distorted when you listen to the
bass-boosted sound wito the AVLS function,
turn down toe volume.
