FAQ
I hear hum through the headphones, what do I do?
You may have a ground loop. To fix a ground loop, try a
GFCI outlet or a ground loop isolator. If it’s low-level hum
and noise, you can use Lo gain to reduce it. If it’s on IEMs,
they may be too sensitive for Lyr. And, ask yourself...do I
want to send 6 watts into my ear canals?
There’s no sound for a while after I turn Lyr on. What’s up?
That’s perfectly normal. Lyr delays the headphone output
for 20 seconds after you first turn the amp on.
Can I leave Lyr on all the time?
You can, but it shortens tube lifespan (5,000 hrs is only
about 200 days).
Can I power speakers with Lyr?
That’s not a great idea—speakers require more current
than headphones, and you may trigger Lyr’s internal
protection.
It doesn’t turn on, what do I do?
Plug it in to a different AC socket. Ensure you are not
currently in a blackout. Then email us if it still doesn’t
work.
