11.xx Internal Clock Error

The internal clock is not working. The digital
sender can still send, but you are prompted to
set the date and time whenever the device is
turned off and then turned on.

Contact your system administrator.

20 Insufficient Memory

The the scanned document contains more data
than can fit in the device's available memory.
Press

S

TART

to send the available data (some

data might be lost), and then try to make the
scan job smaller.

22 EIO Buffer Overflow

Too much data was sent to the EIO card. An
incorrect communications protocol might be in
use. Turn the device off and then on. If this
message persists, contact your system
administrator.

22 Embedded I/O Buffer Overflow

Too much data was sent to the embedded
HP Jetdirect network interface. Turn the device
off and then on. Try to send the job again. If this
message persists, contact your system
administrator.

30.1.yy Scan Failure

An error has occurred in the flatbed scanner.
Turn the device off and then on.

A 30.18 Scan Failure message might indicate
that the scanner head is locked. Verify that the
scanner lock is in the unlocked position. (See

for the location of the

scanner lock.) If the error persists, contact your
system administrator.

40 EIO Bad Transmission

The connection between the device and the EIO
card has failed. Press

S

TART

to clear the error

and continue sending.

40 Embedded I/O Bad Transmission

The connection with the embedded HP Jetdirect
network interface has failed. Turn the device off
and then on.

52.xy Error

The scanner has encountered an error. Turn the
device off and then on. If this message persists,
contact your system administrator.

57.xx Error

The fan motor has encountered an error. Turn
the device off and then on. If this message
persists, contact your system administrator.

64 ERROR
