NavSuite Installation Overview
When you purchase NavSuite, you receive three disks, which must be
installed in the following order:
1. NavSuiteProgramCD—Installs files necessary for running the
NavSuite programs. Install this once on each computer.
2. ElectronicChartDataDisc1(DVD)—Contains Jeppesen terminal chart
data and is updated every 14 days. Install this disc after the NavSuite
Program CD installation and update the data through the Internet.
DVD updates are available for a small fee. For information and pricing,
please contact Jeppesen Sales and Service.
3. ElectronicChartDataDisc2(CD)—Contains NavSuite program updates,
Jeppesen aeronautical data, and the text information from the Jeppesen
Airway and VFR Manuals. This data is updated every 14 days. Install
it now and update the data through the Internet. CD updates are
available for a small fee. For information and pricing, please contact
Jeppesen Sales and Service.
Saveyourdiscs!You must have a set of the discs and the associated serial
number to reinstall the programs on a new machine. If anything is missing,
please call Jeppesen Sales and Service.
NavSuite Program CD
Insert the NavSuite Program CD into your computer’s CD-ROM drive. If
the setup program does not start automatically, browse to your computer’s
CD-ROM drive and double-click
setup.exe.
1. In the Welcome dialog box, click Next.
2. Read the information in the Installation Overview dialog box and
click Next.
3. Read the license agreement, accept the terms, and click Next.
4. In the Pilot Information dialog box, enter your name and the
16-character or alphanumeric NavSuite serial number, and click Next.
5. Select the programs you want to install. Read through the
explanations about the programs and recommendations if you
need help making your decision. Click
Next.
6. Select the path to install the NavSuite products and click Next. It is
recommended that you use the default folder or a location where other
Jeppesen programs are installed. If you use a different drive or folder,
click
Change and type the path or browse to the desired folder.
7. Select a program folder and click Next.
8. Review the installation summary and click Next to begin the
installation. The installation may take a few minutes to complete.
9. Select which programs you would like desktop shortcuts for and
click Next.
10. When the installation is complete, click Finish. A dialog box appears,
instructing you to insert Disc 1. If your computer requires a reboot, do
so before starting the next procedure.
Installing Electronic Chart Data Disc 1 (DVD)
Install the Program CD prior to loading Disc 1. Once the programs are
installed, update the data every 14 days through the Internet or with the
disc updates received in the mail. To install your terminal charts by DVD,
follow these steps:
1. Insert Disc 1 into your computer’s DVD reader. If the setup program
does not start automatically, browse to your computer’s DVD drive and
double-click
setup.exe.
2. In the Welcome dialog box, click Next.
3. NavSuite MFD Users Only: If applicable, select the RunJeppesenServices
check box and click Next. This option launches JSUM near the end of the
Disc 1 update. This option is only available if JSUM is already installed.
