The following calibration chart is provided to convert the comparator
index reading into the concentration of the contaminant in the
atmosphere to mg/M

3

. The chart is based upon the prescribed sampling

period for individual tests. After the color match is made, find the
corresponding index value on the calibration chart, read down the line
until the sampling time is found.

The sampling period specified in the directions corresponds to
concentrations which may be encountered in ambient air conditions.
High concentrations of pollutants in the atmosphere will require shorter
sampling period, while low concentrations will require longer sampling
periods.
