1.
Use the 1.0 mL pipet (0354) to add 1.0 mL of sample water to the
test tube (0970-S).
2. Dilute to 10 mL line with distilled or phosphate free water.
3. Use the 0.5 mL pipet (0353) to carefully add 0.5 mL of *Phosphate
Reagent A (4606).
4. Add one *Phosphate B/C Tablet (4607). Cap and gently mix until
the tablet is dissolved. Wait 4 minutes.
5. Fill a 5 mL test tube (0230) to the 5 mL line with this reacted
sample.
6. Insert test tube into Phosphate Comparator (7899). Match sample
color to a color standard. Record as ppm Phosphate.
NOTE:
If sample color is lighter than the lightest color standard,
use the following procedure.

UN DI LUTED SAM PLE
1.
Fill the test tube (0970-S) to the 10 mL line with sample water.
2. Use the 0.5 mL pipet (0353) to carefully add 0.5 mL of *Phosphate
Reagent A (4606).
3. Add one *Phosphate B/C Tablet (4607). Cap and gently mix until
the tablet is dissolved. Wait 4 minutes.
4. Fill a 5 mL test tube (0230) to the 5 mL line with this reacted
sample.
5. Insert test tube into Phosphate Comparator (7899). Match sample
color to a color standard.
IMPORTANT:
Divide the value obtained from the comparator by

CAUTION: Do not use soaps or detergents containing phosphate to
wash test tubes.
