PRO CE DURE
1.0-10.0 ppm RANGE

Fill one of the test tubes (0106) to the 5 mL line with water sample.
2. Use the 1.0 mL pipet (0354) to add 1.0 mL of *VM Phosphate
Reagent (4410), cap tube and mix by inverting the tube several
times.
3. Wait for 5 minutes, then use the plain pipet (0352) to add 3 drops of
*Reducing Reagent (6405). Cap and mix. A blue color should
develop in 10 seconds.
4. Insert Phosphate Octa-Slide (3407) into the Octa-Slide Viewer
(1100). Insert test tube into Octa-Slide Viewer. Match sample color
to a color standard. Record as ppm Phosphate.
10-100 ppm RANGE
1.
Use the 0.5 mL pipet (0353) to add 0.5 mL of water sample to one of
the test tubes (0106).
2. Fill the tube to the 5 mL line with deionized or phosphate free water.
3. Use the 1.0 mL pipet to add 1.0 mL of *VM Phosphate Reagent
(4410). Cap and mix by inverting the tube several times.
4. Wait for 5 minutes, then use the plain pipet to add 3 drops of
*Reducing Reagent (6405). Cap and mix. A blue color should
develop in 10 seconds.
5. Insert Phosphate Octa-Slide (3407) into the Octa-Slide Viewer
(1100). Insert test tube into Octa-Slide Viewer. Match sample color
to a color standard. Multiply the color bar value by 10 to obtain the
test result in ppm Phosphate.
