User Guide
Please read these instructions completely
before operating this product
3. On the Bluetooth device, enable Bluetooth and select “Trek” from the Device List.
If the Bluetooth device asks for a passkey, use “0000”. Some Bluetooth devices
will ask you to accept the connection. If the units are paired properly, the speaker will
beep and the Bluetooth indicator will light solid blue. If it failed, the Bluetooth
indicator will blink slowly.
IMPORTANT: After step 3, you have two minutes to pair the units.
Note: After you pair a device, the Trek will remember it for future use.
Using a Bluetooth Device
1. Turn the Trek on; the previously listened to source and volume will be selected.
2. With a unit paired (see previous section), press the Bluetooth button W to select
Bluetooth mode.
3. Operate your Bluetooth device and its sound will be heard through the Trek’s
speakers.
4. Adjust the volume using the Volume +/– buttons v on the Trek, or the Volume control
on the Bluetooth device.
Using a Bluetooth Device with NFC
NFC offers a simple setup method for your Trek speaker system. Simply turn on the Trek
speaker and hold the NFC enabled device (NFC on the device must be “on”) within a few
centimeters of the NFC symbol
V on top of the Trek speaker to pair and establish a
Bluetooth connection. It’s just that simple.
AUX IN Jack (Side of Trek)
1. Insert one end of an audio cable (not
included) into the LINE OUT jack on
your external audio unit and the other
end into the AUX IN jack x on the
side of the Trek, under the flap.
2. To listen to the external audio unit,
turn the Trek on and press the AUX
button at to select the Line In mode.
3. Start playback of the external unit and
the external audio unit’s output sound
will be heard through the Trek’s speakers.
Telephone Button
When receiving a phone call on your paired Bluetooth device, press the Telephone
button X to answer (it will light amber) and use the built-in microphone on the Trek to
take the call. During phone call, press the Telephone button X once to return the call to
the phone. Press the Telephone button X twice to disconnect/end the call.
Splash Resistant
The Trek is splash resistant (Certified to an IP64
rating), but cannot be submerged in water or be
subjected to constant flow of water. In order to
ensure the product is splash resistant, close the
rubber flap on the side of the Trek. To properly
close flap fully insert the rubber dongle (on inside
of flap) into Micro USB jack y then smooth out
entire flap until flap is flush with the sides of the Trek.
Auto Power Off
If the Trek has no audio signal, and/or a USB device is not charging, for 20 minutes, the
Trek will turn itself off. To “wake” the Trek up, simply press the Power button u .
Troubleshooting
If the Trek is not producing sound, adjust the volume level on your digital music device
to high.
RECHARGING THE BATTERY
LOCATION OF CONTROLS
To charge the internal battery, connect the smaller end of the supplied USB cable to
the Micro USB jack y (under the flap on the side of the Trek) and the other end to a
powered USB jack on your computer or an AC power supply (not included).
When the Trek Power is on and charging, the Power indicator will light red and turn
amber when fully charged.
The Power indicator will fade in and out when it is in need of charging.
Note: The battery will provide approximately 6 hours of operation at normal listening
level.
Rechargeable Battery Notes:
• Each time you charge and discharge the battery (charge cycles), battery capacity
slightly diminishes. Rechargeable batteries have a limited number of charge cycles
and need to be replaced eventually.
• You may wish to replace your battery when, or before, the battery does not supply enough
power to function your device. Also, proper disposal is essential from environmental and
safety point of view. Putting any battery directly in the trash will harm the environment.
• Do not incinerate.
Replacing the Rechargeable Battery:
If the battery does not supply enough power (see note in Rechargeable Battery Notes
box below), visit www.tdkperformance.com for instructions on battery replacement.

OPERATION
Turning the Trek On and Off:
1. To open the rubber flap, pull rubber tip on the flap cover. Then slide the Main Power
switch U on the side of the Trek, under the flap, to ON position to activate the Power
button u .
2. Once the main power switch is turned on, you can turn the Trek on or off by pressing
the Power button u .
Using the Stand
Gently pull the stand out from the back of the
Trek. The stand will make a “clicking” sound.
The first click you hear is the optimal stand
position.
Note: The stand is designed to breakaway
under too much pressure. If the stand snaps
off, it can easily be reattached by snapping it
back in place at the top rear of the product.
Pairing a Bluetooth Device
1. Turn the Trek on; the previously listened to source and volume will be selected.
2. Press and hold the Bluetooth button W for approximately three seconds, until the
Bluetooth indicator blinks quickly to make the speaker “discoverable”.

3. No dispositivo Bluetooth, ative a função Bluetooth e selecione “Trek” na lista de
dispositivos. Se o dispositivo Bluetooth pedir uma palavra-passe, utilize “0000”. Alguns
dispositivos Bluetooth pedem-lhe para aceitar a ligação. Se os dispositivos forem
emparelhados (sincronizados) corretamente, a coluna emite um sinal sonoro e o indicador
Bluetooth acende-se com uma luz azul fixa. Se o emparelhamento (sincronização falhar),
o indicador Bluetooth pisca lentamente com uma luz intermitente.
IMPORTANTE: Depois de executar o passo 3, tem dois minutos para emparelhar (sincronizar)
os aparelhos.
Nota: Depois de emparelhar (sincronizar) um dispositivo, o sistema de colunas Trek
memoriza-o para utilização futura.
Utilizar um Dispositivo Bluetooth
1. Ligue o sistema de colunas Trek; a fonte de som que estava a ouvir anteriormente e o
volume são selecionados.
2. Com um dispositivo emparelhado (sincronizado) (consultar secção anterior), prima o botão
Bluetooth W para selecionar o modo Bluetooth.
3. Ative o dispositivo Bluetooth e ouvirá o respetivo som através das colunas do sistema
Trek.
4. Regule o volume de som com os botões Volume +/– v do sistema de colunas Trek ou com
o controlo de Volume do dispositivo Bluetooth.
Utilizar um Dispositivo Bluetooth com a Tecnologia NFC
NFC é um método simples de configurar o sistema de colunas Trek. Basta ligar este último e
colocar o dispositivo equipado com NFC (a função NFC do dispositivo tem de estar ativada) a
alguns centímetros do símbolo NFC V existente na parte superior do sistema Trek, para
emparelhar e estabelecer uma ligação Bluetooth. É tão simples como isto.
Tomada AUX IN (Lado do Sistema de Colunas Trek)
1. Insira uma das extremidades de um
cabo de áudio (não incluído) na
tomada LINE OUT do dispositivo de
áudio externo e a outra extremidade na
tomada AUX IN x no lado do sistema
de colunas Trek, por baixo da aba.
2. Para ouvir o dispositivo de áudio
externo, ligue o sistema de colunas Trek
e prima o botão AUX at para selecionar
o modo de entrada de linha (Line In).
3. Ligue o equipamento externo e o som
deste último será emitido pelas colunas
do sistema Trek.
Botão Telefone
Se receber uma chamada telefónica no dispositivo Bluetooth emparelhado (sincronizado),
prima o botão Telefone X para atender (acende-se com uma luz cor de âmbar) e utilize
o microfone incorporado no sistema de colunas Trek para atender a chamada. Durante a
chamada, prima o botão Telefone X uma vez para fazer voltar a chamada ao telefone. Prima o
botão Telefone X duas vezes para desligar/terminar a chamada.
Resistência aos Salpicos
O sistema de colunas Trek é resistente aos salpicos
(Certificado para uma classificação IP64), mas não
pode ser colocado dentro de água nem exposto
continuamente a descargas de água. Para garantir
que o produto é resistente à água, feche a aba
de borracha existente na parte lateral do sistema
de colunas Trek. Para fechar corretamente a aba,
introduza o adaptador de borracha (no interior da aba) na ficha Micro USB y e alise toda a aba
até ficar alinhada com os lados da do sistema de colunas Trek.
Desligar Automaticamente
Se o sistema de colunas Trek não tiver sinal de áudio e/ou o dispositivo USB não estiver a
carregar, durante 20 minutos, o sistema desliga-se automaticamente. Para “reativar” o sistema
Trek, basta premir o botão de ligação u .
Resolução de Problemas
Se o sistema de colunas Trek não emitir som, regule o nível do volume de som no dispositivo de
música digital para alto.
RECARREGAR A BATERIA
LOCALIZAÇÃO DOS CONTROLOS
Para carregar a bateria interna, ligue a extremidade pequena do cabo USB fornecido à
ficha Micro USB y (situada por baixo da aba lateral do sistema de colunas Trek) e a outra
extremidade a uma ficha USB do computador ou a uma fonte de alimentação de CA (não
incluída).
Quando o sistema de colunas Trek está ligado e a carregar, o indicador de corrente acende-se
com uma luz vermelha que passa a cor de âmbar quando a carga está concluída.
Quando é necessário carregar a bateria a luz do indicador de ligação fica esbatida.
Nota: A bateria proporciona cerca de 6 horas de funcionamento a um nível de audição normal.
Notas Sobre a Bateria Recarregável:
• Sempre que carregar e descarregar a bateria (ciclos de carga), a capacidade da bateria
diminui ligeiramente. As baterias recarregáveis têm um número limitado de ciclos de carga
e podem ter de ser substituídas.
• Pode desejar substituir a bateria quando ou antes que esta deixe de fornecer energia
suficiente para o funcionamento do dispositivo. Também é essencial, do ponto de vista
ambiental e da segurança, eliminar corretamente as baterias. Se colocar uma bateria
diretamente no lixo está a prejudicar o ambiente.
• Não queime a bateria.

Se a bateria não fornecer energia suficiente (consulte as Notas sobra a bateria recarregável

FUNCIONAMENTO
Ligar e Desligar o Sistema de Colunas Trek:
1. Para abrir a aba de borracha, puxe a ponta da aba existente na tampa respetiva. Depois
empurre o interruptor de alimentação de corrente U existente na parte lateral do sistema
de colunas Trek, por baixo da aba, para a posição ON, para ligar o botão de ligação u .
2. Depois de ter ligado o interruptor de alimentação de corrente, pode ligar e desligar o
sistema de colunas Trek premindo o botão de ligação u .
Utilizar o suporte
Puxe para fora, com cuidado, o suporte existente na
parte traseira da Trek. O suporte produz um estalido
semelhante a um “clique”. O primeiro clique que ouvir
indica a posição óptima do suporte.
Nota: O suporte está concebido para se soltar se
sofrer uma pressão excessiva. Se o suporte saltar,
pode voltar a colocá-lo facilmente encaixando-a de
novo na parte superior traseira do equipamento.
Emparelhar (Sincronizar) um Dispositivo Bluetooth
1. Ligue o sistema de colunas Trek; a fonte de som que estava a ouvir anteriormente e o
volume são selecionados.
2. Prima sem soltar o botão Bluetooth W durante cerca de três segundos até o indicador
Bluetooth piscar rapidamente para tornar a coluna “detetável”.
