Record here and now
If you want to record the current programme
or a programme about to begin, you can start
recording immediately. You can also watch
another TV programme or switch Avant to
standby while recording.
The list of scheduled recordings
The Timer index list of pending recordings
allows you to check whether or not recordings
conflict with each other. You can change
channel, date, or time for recordings, or
delete them altogether.
Press RECORD twice. The video
tape recorder will begin
recording on the current TV or
Satellite channel
To watch another programme
during recording, just select the
desired TV programme on Beo4
If you record a Satellite
programme, it is not possible to
watch other Satellite
programmes than the one
being recorded!
Press V TAPE and then STOP to
pause recording
Press RECORD to resume a
paused recording, or…
…select a source, such as TV or
SAT, to stop recording
completely and switch on a
source
Press • to switch the system to
standby

Your recording will continue, unless it is paused
when you switch Avant to standby. A paused
recording will then stop completely.
Check the status of scheduled recordings
> Press MENU to call up the main menu on the
screen.
> Press GO to call up the Timer record menu.
> Press ss to move the cursor to either Source or
Pr and press MENU to call up the Timer index.
To edit a Timer recording…
When you have brought up the Timer index on
the screen…
> Press ▼ to move the cursor down to a desired
recording and press GO.
> Press ss or tt to move through the settings, and
▲ or ▼ to change them.
> You can also enter numeric settings by pressing
the number keys on Beo4.
To delete a recording…
> Call up the Timer index on the screen and
highlight a Timer recording.
> Press MENU. Clear? is shown instead of a
recording date.
> Press GO to delete the Timer recording, or EXIT
to keep it.
> Press ▲ or ▼ to select other recordings to
delete, or press EXIT to leave all menus.
