1) Remove the 2 bolts with nuts that secure the upper lift bar segment, and remove it from the

lower lift bar segment (see previous illustration).

2) Install the upper lift bar segment of different length and/or reverse the lift bail orientation, as

necessary for the intended application (see preceding discussion).

3) Align the bolt holes in the upper segment and the lower segment, and reinstall the bolts.
4) After the bolts are tightened securely, continue assembling the vacuum lifter as directed in

the ASSEMBLY section of the lifter's instruction manual.

OPERATION

After the Adaptable Length Lift Bar has been installed and configured to optimize the function of

the vacuum lifter for its intended use, operate the lifter as directed in the OPERATION section of
lifter's instruction manual.

MAINTENANCE

When performing inspections and tests as directed in the instruction manual for the vacuum

lifter, be sure to include all parts of the Adaptable Length Lift Bar whenever applicable.
