NOTE:
Our bushing kit is designed for stock, non-shifting steering columns
1. Remove the horn ring cap and horn ring by removing the three Phillips head screws that
secure it. You want to note the position of the pieces for reassembly later. The horn ring
cap is retained either by a clutch head style screw, which is removed from the underside
of the steering wheel, or clips.
2.
Using a ratchet, extension, and a ¾” socket remove the retaining nut that secures the
steering wheel.
3. Using a steering wheel puller remove the steering wheel.
4. Remove tension spring & seat from the shaft. Disconnect & remove neutral safety switch.
5. Disconnect the horn, and turn signal wiring from underneath the dash.
6. Disconnect the upper column clamp, and the floor mount.
7. Remove the detent from the lower column tube. The column should now be able to be
removed from the car.
