GAS INFRA-RED TUBE HEATER
ATH / IA BROODER SERIES
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
1. GENERAL
Installation of the ATH / IA Brooder Series gas-fired tube heaters must conform to all
Schwank heating installation design procedures including ventilation. All installations in Can-
ada must conform to local and national code requirements including the current CSA-B149.1-
00 installation code for gas burning appliances and equipment, and Canadian Electrical Code
part 1 CSA C22.1 latest edition must be observed. All installations in the U.S.A. must con-
form to local and national code requirements including, National Fuel Gas code ANSI Z223.1
and the National Electrical Code ANSI/NFPA No 70 All local, provincial and national code re-
quirements including the current CAN/CGA - B149.1 installation code for gas burning appli-
ances Due to ever changing standards and requirements, revision to our equipment and installa-
tion procedures may be necessary. In case of discrepancies, the latest installation manual will
take priority.
The ATH / IA Brooder heater may be installed for heating of non-residential indoor spaces in
Agricultural applications only. It is beyond the scope of these instructions to embrace all condi-
tions that will be encountered. All system piping must be supported in accordance with accept-
able practice, local codes, and applicable standards. and equipment as well as the Canadian
electrical code CSA C22.1 must be met.
2. INSTALLATIONS OTHER THAN SPACE HEATING
Use for process applications will void the C.S.A certification and may require field inspection
and/or certification.
