6– Apply 243 Loctite® to the threads of the stock socket head cap screws, Qty 4, that were used to hold the stock back plate to the throttle body
and the S&S supplied flat head cap screw. Locate the S&S supplied back plate to throttle body gasket. Attach the back plate to the throttle
body making sure that the gasket is captured between the two. Tighten the screws evenly until snug and finish torque to 80 in-lbs. Picture 13
illustrates the location for the throttle body screws.
7– Locate the ¼-20 x 7/8” socket head cap screw and apply 243 Loctite® to the threads. Pass the screw through the back plate bracket and back plate.
Picture 14 illustrates the cap screw passed through the back plate. Thread the remaining aluminum standoff to the screw and finish torque to
80 in-lbs. Finish torque the M6 button head cap screw that was used to hold the back plate bracket to the front cylinder to 80 in-lbs.
8– Slide the filter element over the back plate as illustrated in Picture 15.
