13- Reinstall head onto motor. Follow Polaris® service manual for proper installation and torque specs.
14- Install rocker arms and new S&S® pushrods. Only install one rocker arm at a time. With lifter on the base circle of the cam (lifters at lowest point)
install rocker arm and torque to specification do not roll motor over at this point, lifter must be allowed to bleed down before motor is rotated
fully to avoid coil binding spring. Rotate motor to add spring pressure to lifter but do not go so far as to coil bind spring. Let stand for a few
minutes and rotate motor back so that the lifter is on the base circle and check to see if you can rotate pushrod easily with your fingers. Repeat
process until pushrod can be rotated with your fingers. Repeat process for the other three rocker arms.
S&S roller lifters come pre oiled and must be allowed to bleed down for proper lifter adjustment before rotating motor over. Failure to
allow lifters to bleed down for proper adjustment before rotating motor will cause the valves to move past their intended travel and
could cause coil bound springs, damaged seals or even bent valves.
15- Finish motor assembly per Polaris® service manual. If new pistons where installed make sure to follow proper break in procedures.
