ƒ Carry out the electrical installation in accordance with the relevant regulations.
Additional information can be found in the detailed operating instructions.
ƒ While making the connection, be sure to provide for a safe PE conductor connection.
Design including a connector
The connectors of the Lenze system cables are designed in a distinctive, application-specific
fashion (power, fan, feedback, digital frequency).

cables.


ƒ Tighten the coupling ring of the connector.
ƒ If plugs without SpeedTec bayonet nut connectors are used, the connector
boxes for the power / encoder / fan connections must be secured by
O-rings if loadings by vibration occur:
– M17 connector box with O-ring 15 x 1.3 mm
– M23 connector box with O-ring 18 x 1.5 mm
– M40 connector box with O-ring 27 x 4.0 mm
Apply shields of the motor cable to the controller on a large surface.
Design with terminal box
ƒ The electrical connection is described in the terminal box.
ƒ Keep the terminal box free of foreign matter, dirt, and humidity.
ƒ Observe specified clearances in air between bare, live parts, and to earth.
ƒ The cable glands are designed for the cable cross-sections of the Lenze system cables.
ƒ The system cables are designed for standard cable glands.
ƒ To use other cable cross-sections, extended sizes, reduced sizes, or other types of
cable glands must be used.
ƒ Extensive shielding of motor cable on motor and controller.
